Burglary 500-Block Cresthill Av - 12/26/2018
On December 26, police were dispatched to a residential burglary call on the 500-block of Cresthill Ave NE. The victim had arrived back at her home around 5:41 PM and noticed that a light was on inside that she did not recall leaving on. She then noticed a message from her home security app (Abode) alerting her to the fact that her side window had been opened around 5:23 PM, so she called the police. The back door had pry marks by the lock and wood around the side windows was broken in. The victim advised that a lamp had been moved away from the window where the perpetrator entered the home. The victim went through the entire house and the only thing she identified as missing was an old, broken black iPhone. Police recovered a fingerprint from the side window, but there were no cameras visible in the vicinity.
Reminder: All members call 911 first if you see a crime in progress or a suspicious person or activity, and then call the FBAC Phone.
