VHSP to Raise Funds for License Plate Readers

Help VaHi cross the finish line.

Join us at Osteria 823 on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday November 14th, 15th or 16th for a Dine-Out. Mention VaHi Security Patrol when you order for Dine-in or Take-out and Osteria will donate 25% of your purchase. Note: not valid on delivery orders. Funds raised will benefit the License Plate Reader Campaign.

The Virginia-Highland Security Patrol is launching a campaign to raise money for the installation of up to 5 license plate reader cameras (LPRs) in our neighborhood this year.

One Time Cost: $42,500

The cameras will be operated by the Atlanta Police Department and supplement their existing network. The aim is to address, among other things, ongoing theft and car break-ins. The system does not track or retain information about vehicles that are not associated with a specific crime.

We are asking the whole community to pitch in to reach this goal.
