10/19/2011 armed robbery 2 females were walking on Los Angeles Ave when approached by two B/M suspects. (B/M #1 6’0 20-25 yrs, thin build, med brown skin, gray hoodie; B/M #2 6’2 20-25 yrs, long sleeve white shirt, black hair brown skin) The subjects said "Give it to me and come here" while pointing a handgun at them. The females gave up their property and the two males fled on foot.
This is in addition to the October 15 armed robbery on St. Charles Ave. and the October 9 robbery on Virginia Ave. For more details go to: http://www.fbacvahi.com/2011/10/fbac-newsletter-november-2011.html APD and FBAC have stepped up patrols and there are no armed robbery reports in Virginia Highland since 10/19.
OTHER NEWS AND NOTES
South patrol will continue for the time being: As of 12/6/11 we are still only at $1600 of the required $2600 per month required to support a minimum 4 night patrol. (Equivalent in single family house memberships: 65 houses out of 104 required). However with reserves we are able to keep the south patrol operational for the coming period through at least February. We continue with our strong membership drive in the south zone.
